However, since that article was written, we have expanded the scope of the portal to allow the use of National Plant Monitoring Scheme methods outside of the core scheme squares. Whilst these data won't feed into the main NPMS monitoring scheme data, the NPMS+ mode of Plant Portal will allow other organisations to use the methods developed by the scheme to monitoring their own landscapes or areas.
